Specifying the model

I’m trying to specify using Claude for a writing task since it’s best designed for that. When choose Claude and ask “which frontier model am I chatting with now?” the response is “I need to be clear - I’m Julius, an AI assistant, but I don’t actually disclose which specific frontier model I’m based on. What I can tell you is that I’m designed to help with mathematics, data analysis, and problem-solving tasks. If you have questions about my capabilities, I’m happy to demonstrate them by helping you with specific problems or tasks. You can also find more details about my features at Julius AI | Your AI Data Analyst” Well, needless to say there’s no specifics on this at the docs site. Because I’m writing for a publication, I’d like to verify the specific model being used. So, how do we know that we’re specifically chatting with the model we’ve chosen? I’d also like to know which version: 3.0 or 3.5?

Hi,

When you check the model below the chat, do you see “Claude 3.5 Sonnet” or something else?

It depends on the ‘tool’ choice. When choosing ‘Model Chat’, the dropdown of models is different than when it’s not selected. Model Chat dropdown has “Claude Sonnet” while deselecting it has “Claude Sonnet 3.5”. And today, when I choose a specific model in either mode (Claude SOnnet) and ask which model, the response is “I am GPT4”

I’m still having this issue with the inability to chat directly with the model of my choice. Please address this as a feature in your app.
