Financial Markets move based on Physics and Astrological cycles. We took the Dow Jones data and ran FFT’s on it, and was shocked to see - it has 36 year, 18 year and 9 year cycles. We modeled the top 20 Harmonics to decipher the Major and Minor Cycles ( animation). The Blue line is the 36 year Lissajous curve.

Why the 36 year and 18 year cycles? Well, 18 year cycle is the Saros cycle.

The Saros cycle is a period of approximately 18 years, 11 days, and 8 hours, during which the Sun, Earth, and Moon return to nearly the same relative positions, allowing for the recurrence of lunar and solar eclipses. Application? Eclipses decide the fate of a DowJones cycle.
